Dr OLUFEMI ODERINLO is a foremost Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon. He graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile- Ife with a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree in 1993 and completed his residency training in 2002 as one of the pioneer Eye Foundation Hospital residents. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg Scotland, Member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologist, UK and Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons. He was trained at the prestigious Tennents Institute of Ophthalmology, Western Infirmary-Glasgow, Scotland, under Professor C M Kirkness and has attended several International training courses spanning over Europe, the United States of America and Asia.
He has over 75 publications, academic seminar and scientific papers as well as research work to his credit. As a clinical researcher his area of interest includes ocular neovascular diseases as well as management and outcomes of retinal detachments. He is a resource person for a number post graduate ophthalmology faculties including the National Postgraduate College of Ophthalmology. He has performed over 10,000 ophthalmic surgeries and Laser procedures and has attained high proficiency in Vitreoretina Surgeries and Lasers as well as suture less Phacoemulsification.
