Dr. Adunola Ogunro qualified as a medical doctor from University College Hospital Ibadan in 1986, with a Bachelor of medicine, Bachelor of surgery. She commenced her residency training in Ogun State University Teaching Hospital now Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in 1993. During her residency training, she had clinical attachments in Eye Foundation Hospital and University College Hospital Ibadan and became a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons in 1999.
Dr. Ogunro joined the Eye Foundation Hospital team in 1999 as a fellow in the James Standefer Glaucoma Institute where she underwent her glaucoma fellowship training.
She attended several glaucoma workshops including the James Standefer Glaucoma workshop. She has also attended other training sessions within the continent and in the United States of America.
She received AFER ARVO Host Researcher award in USA in 2008.
She had Glaucoma fellowship observership training in Glaucoma at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2011.

She has presented many scientific papers in many international conferences including the World Glaucoma Congress and World Ophthalmologist Congress and published in scientific journals.
Member - American Academy of Ophthalmology since 2002, Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria since 1994 and founding member of the Glaucoma Society of Nigeria.
